RESTORING COMMON SENSE FOR MICHIGAN

GROUNDED IN EXPERIENCE. FOCUSED ON RESULTS.

Meet Christian Velasquez

Putting Experience to Work for Michigan

For more than 30 years, Chris Velasquez has lived, worked, and raised his family in Mid-Michigan. As a husband, father, and business leader, he understands what it takes to build something that lasts—and how easily bad decisions from Lansing can make life harder for working families.

Chris is running for State Senate to restore common sense and accountability to state government, and to make sure decisions are made with Michigan families in mind—not political agendas.

Values & Vision

Guided by faith, family, and community, Chris knows good government starts with common sense and ends with accountability.

A Stronger Economy

Every campaign talks about “jobs” and “growth.” The difference is that Chris Velasquez has actually created both. He’s spent his career solving problems, managing people, and meeting budgets — not just talking about them.

Chris knows what keeps small business owners up at night because he’s been one. He believes Michigan’s economy grows best when government steps aside and lets people do what they do best: work hard, build things, and take care of their families.

He’ll fight to keep taxes low, cut red tape, and make it easier for local businesses to hire and expand. Because a strong economy isn’t built by bureaucrats — it’s built by the men and women who call Mid-Michigan home.

Affordable, Reliable, & Real Energy Solutions

For Michigan’s energy needs, we need real science — not political science. When bureaucrats and career politicians make energy decisions based on ideology instead of facts, families and businesses pay the price. We’ve seen the consequences firsthand: higher bills, unreliable power grids, and threats of rolling blackouts.

Chris Velasquez is an engineer, not a politician. With nearly three decades of experience in science and industry, he understands how to keep energy reliable, affordable, and safe. He’s worked on real solutions — not theories — and knows that dependable energy is the backbone of a strong economy and healthy communities.

Chris believes energy decisions should be made locally, not dictated from Lansing. One-size-fits-all mandates and political agendas only hurt consumers and shut down proven sources of power. He’ll fight to restore balance, protect Michigan’s energy independence, and keep the lights on for the people who keep this state running.

Putting Parents & Students First

Parents know what’s best for their kids. They deserve a real voice in their  education. Too many families are shut out while decisions are made by people far removed from the classroom. Chris believes education works best when parents, teachers, and local school boards are in charge, not bureaucrats. Transparency matters, and parents should not have to fight to be heard.

Chris supports STEM education and hands-on learning that prepare students for real careers, including the skilled trades that power our economy.

And when it comes to sports, fairness matters. Girls train to compete, to belong, and to win, not to be part of someone else’s strange social experiment. Women also deserve privacy, safety, and dignity in their own spaces. Protecting those spaces is basic decency.
